A local universities Marketing Communications and Public Relations Department is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant to support six Directors. Responsibilities will include: 1. Answering phones and filing 2. Project management and assistance 3. Database management and document control 4. Correspondences between internal and external groups 5. Pulling and tracking reports 6. Scheduling/calendaring 7. Marketing and public relations assistance 8. Grant development assistance The specific job skills are: 1. Strong Microsoft Office suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint) 2. Strong Microsoft Project skills (must be proficient) 3. Strong office management skills 4. Strong project management skills and excellent follow through 5. Deadline driven, reliable, and consistent 6. Positive attitude and very proactive 7. Professional presentation as well as ability to interact with varied internal and external groups 8. At least 3 years experience working in a fast paced office environment for many directors, etc.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
